# MOT Manager
Position Description:
MOT Manager is responsible for the review and monitoring of all the traffic control measures used on work zone projects. Plans, coordinates, and review field operation activities to assure that work zone strategies are implemented effectively and efficiently.

Applicants must be trained in and familiar with the following work zone elements:

  • Determining how Work Zone strategies are being implemented and verifying that specified Work Zone elements will occur on schedule and in the manner planned.
  • Ensure Changeable Message Signs and other media tools provide accurate and timely information to all modes regarding lane closure times and other project information. 
  • Ensure compliance with MOT plans in general. 
  • Assess and fine-tune performance of Work Zone strategies and overall performance of the project corridor and alternative routes. 
  • Determine effectiveness of individual Work Zone strategies and provide info/recom as necessary to more effective strategies. 
  • Determine whether additional Work Zone elements are needed or particular elements need to be refined. 
  • Record Work Zone strategies in format and frequency to be agreed upon to protect contractor/client. 
  • Provide periodic reports on Work Zone performance.
Skills Required:
  • Communication skills necessary to conduct meetings, such as work zone stake holders and community awareness gatherings.
  • Ability to function in both office and field environment, including construction sites, rough terrain, etc.
  • Considerable familiarity with applicable federal, state and local work zone regulations.
  • Ability to function in a high volume, busy work environment through prioritization of work assignments and timely completion of assignment.
Experience:
  • At least 2-5 years of highway construction experience.
  • Familiarity with development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans is a plus.
Qualifications:
  • PE registered in the District of Columbia.
# Mechanical / Electronic / Automation / System Engineer
Position Description:
  • Experience in fuel monitoring systems and/or other operation management systems on commercial motor vehicles (CV). 
  • The ability to test and evaluate fuel monitioring and other CV technologies. 
  • Ability to write reports and present results in a clear and concise manner.
Skills Required:
  • Communication skills necessary to conduct meetings.
  • Ability to function in both office and field environment.
  • Ability to function in a high volume, busy work environment through prioritization of work assignments and timely completion of assignment.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechical / Electronic / Automation / System Engineering.
